This piece is also fantastic in that it emphasizes the fetishization of female suffering in horror, whereas YOU and ME and HER is a deconstruction of sexualization and tokenism of women. But the fact that both games use the same device of self-awareness and meta control to explore is great!

SICK ASS PIECE. If you love or hate dating sims, please give it a read! DDLC is great in that it exists in a similar sort of exploration as YOU and ME and HER. But the contrast between the works is interesting given their age ratings, and the expectations of Porn Sim vs. Dating Sim.
