The more I read this, the more I’m disappointed because James didn’t apologize.
I don’t think anyone is perfect. But I think awful people do eventually meet consequences. As long as Trump is in power, the idea is communicated that an awful person can escape consequences.
So awful people primarily (but not totally) keep him in power to feel like they can avoid consequences too

the most shocking part of all this for me was the complicity of women. So many of the secretaries, assistants, and other employees sending these emails or coordinating trips to the island were women. They knew what happened there and knew how integral they were to keeping the show running.
