Enzymatic structural material (ESM) is a concrete replacement that uses enzymes to convert CO2 into solid mineral particles that are bound together and cured under mild conditions into structural forms within hours. Imagine a world where we sequester carbon with every brick instead of releasing it.

My annual dance recital. The work to the student choreographers do to get us into performing shape is inspiring. And for the ones that I teach, I think it’s helpful to see me struggle mightily as I learn.
Still reflecting on this after attending @perchperchson.bsky.social’s performance tonight in the teacher dance at the annual school culture show. The teachers humble themselves by learning choreography from their students, & the whole night is a celebration of music and dance from around the world.

Masculinity is based on a point system.

For example, you want to: lift weights, punch stuff, be hairy, be angry, use chainsaws, deep voice, etc. You add them up, and that's how manly you are.

Anyway, the point is you can suck as much dick as you want, so you long you punch stuff in equal measure.

Rockstar Games is being strict with moderation as it has now banned the words "Charlie Kirk" to stop related custom-made missions.

A case of the Sundays so hard that @perchperchson.bsky.social wondered aloud if we have carbon monoxide poisoning. He checked our carbon monoxide detector and nope, turns out it’s just that it’s the last Sunday of school break.

Nolan Finley’s “AI is Making Old Guys Obsolete” would be better titled “you don’t have to put up with assholes to get information anymore”

And the irony of him using ChatGPT as his source as to why this is happening. You could have asked an old guy…

What does he even add to the Detroit discourse?

“Teachers learn early in our careers that when work is taken off our plates, something else gets ladled onto it.”

A great article highlighting the pitfalls of AI in education.

Companies that knew their technology would cause plagiarism issues and released it anyway aren’t on our side.

Me: “Simone de Boudoir” would be a great drag name.

Boycotts being named for "Charles Boycott" is my favorite fact that sounds made up but is real. It's like saying dump trucks are named after Samuel Dumptruck. The inventer of calisthenics? Jennifer Calisthenics.

Bring back shunning evil people so hard their names become synonymous with rejection.
Most people don't know that the gerrymander is named after Gerry Mander.
