The 500 additional GRFPs NSF awarded were not very evenly distributed across fields, it seems.

When OptumRx dropped coverage of his $66 inhaler, Cole couldn’t afford the new price.
5 days later, he died from a severe asthma attack—with no inhaler.
He paid with his life.

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd.
It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

Proud of Harvard for pushing back, exercising some creativity, and, maybe, helping folks get some needed education.

Harvard is making many of their online government courses FREE.

I just signed up for "Citizen Politics in America".

They even asked me my Gender.

At this juncture I’d like to point out:
* we’re on the brink of a golden age of medical healing
* there’s enough money in the world to solve every problem in the world
* a united approach could stop the climate crisis
But a small group of sociopaths seeking personal power are going to throw it away.

Disease prevention is class solidarity.

Cleaning air by removing pathogens via ventilation and filtration on top of preventing their entering airspace at all by wearing a mask is a gift to all we share space with.

There is no safety net but the choices we make to reduce each others suffering.

RFK Jr. is not "questioning science"--he is lying about clinical trials, he is lying about the mountains of *reproducible* available data, and he is lying about safety and efficacy findings.
"I'm just asking questions" is a lazy and cheap way to grab people's emotions and attention.
