“Here’s your meal, full of delicious lead” I don’t want it. No thank you. “Well, what about if we just use lead in the cooking process? You can’t even taste the lead in the final meal” I’m leaving. “You’re being childish. Soon everyone will be cooking with lead” have you fucking listened to yourself

Why are match officials in URC Rugby dressing like Constructicon Scavenger. It's been a minute since I've seen rugby but surely there's more trustworthy combiner teams to be togging out as?

O'Callaghan and Fianna Fáil are aligning themselves with the absolute worst people and politics in Europe, and journalists need to start asking them about it.
To date, I have seen little evidence that Irish media is prepared to meet this moment, and I fear the worst.
Liam Herrick: Why has Ireland abruptly decided the European Convention on Human Rights goes too far?
Precedent could have far-reaching consequences. Who is to say the rights of gay citizens won’t be the next target by a coalition of hostile states?

Okay... whoever did the subtitles for WAKE UP DEAD MAN needs a slap on the wrist. You made me feel temporarily insane tonight. I saw the film at the premiere a few weeks ago, and there's an ISHTAR reference that made me cackle. (1/?)

The government presents its demand for a new nitrates derogation (pollution permit) in Brussels as a demand of the Irish public.
This counterpoint argues that it is actually being demanded by a subsection of the agriculture industry, and is in conflict with a genuine public interest: clean water
"Our waters are crying out for a break from the pollution, Irish people are calling for clean water, but our voices are being drowned out in a world of political wrangling and vested interest. And the thing is, you can’t drink politics"

Ohh the government can fuck right off with this. If they weren't so transparently in the pocket of the likes of Meta and Google I'd suspect they are actually working for VPN companies given the amount of new customers this will send their way.

Looks like the Government could be set for a privacy row over its plans to introduce age-verification for social media with a new digital wallet. Echoes of the Public Services Card controversy here ...

I don't know how many versions of a roughly Galaxy class silhouette I put together as a kid but the Lego Enterprise D is a childhood dream realised.

I don't know how many Star Trek sets Lego has planned but I'm not sure if they'll come close to this

Irish tech journalism has precisely three articles:

1. Oisin McMusk has raised $118m for his GraphQL- powered AI-enabled dogball shaver.
2. A panel on why the technology they have in their LinkedIn headlines isn't going away!
3. CatballShaver's CEO, on why he expects revenue to triple next month.

Was messing around with a trailer #music idea today and accidentally made a JRPG town/city theme 😂
Threw it over some gameplay footage here (cause bluesky won't let us upload audio files 💀), and it actually kinda somewhat works a little bit.
Still a bit too whimsical though I think 😆.
