Actually, I believe people should be able to peacefully voice an opinion, and non-violently not comply… without being shot to death.
It’s called autonomy and self determination. If you aren’t hurting anyone else, or breaking minor laws, there should be proportionate consequences… like a fine…

In 1956, student/worker led protests shook the Iron Curtain. A debate in those movements: whether the system could be reformed. The reality they were forced to accept after decades of continuous repression: a violent system can't be reformed; it must be destroyed.

The fact they are not is why so many marginalized (and finally some mainstream) folks have been giving dems the side eye for a while.
For years dems have claimed they dont have enough power and used that as an excuse to not even try or make a token protest.
