I used the rainbow icord to make a rug to catch excess paw litter for the cats litter box hideaway in the living area.
The yarn is a wool blend, so should hold up pretty well and is a good texture for catching excess litter pieces.

Having kids is weird, cause you have this whole ass other human with access to everything. I didn't realize Mr15yo was pillaging my audiobook library til he started texting me links when series books came out, with whether it was available on libby or hoopla, or if I should "consider buying it" 😆

I was talking with someone recently about how many queer kiddos have an age past which they assume they won't survive
I told them I call the time past that age living on free time (rather than borrowed time), & if you're living on free time, you might as well do what and be who you really want 🌈💛

We've been making/finding holiday decor. Figuring what we have vs what was lost in the move. Shout out to my fam for making poms for the garland.

I dont need to be awake for another 3 hours since I mostly work afternoons and evenings. But I am awake after just about 4 hours of sleep (couldnt get to sleep last night, yay insomnia), and Cookie obviously wants something 🙀

Had to bribe Cookie with some tuna to keep her off the counters (generally she's allowed up, but not after I've sanitized them to fix food, for obvious reasons).

I’ve never met a woman who wasn’t sexually harassed or abused at least once in her life (usually before she even turned 18) and I feel like we as a society aren’t mad enough about it.

Also, no, not everywhere makes them wait until 18. And the ones who start earlier? Yeah, they do great.
Trans kiddos deserve normative puberty experiences. That should be our goal.
And not getting to start estrogens or androgens until they are 18+ is the result of transphobic policies. Not the result of the science that repeatedly tells us that trans kids absolutely know their own genders.

and my response is that if something is "too important", the matter of accessibility via alt text is then even MORE important
