How do you repeatedly shiv someone, and not only do they not realize it, they actually act grateful for it?

I would've paid a lot to somehow be watching this in 3D.
Lady Gaga, I think that's who that is, might have poked me in the eye through my monitor with that Pinhead hat she has on. #grammys

My daughter came home for college break this year and got me to watch Dream Academy with her and all the survival videos, and how excited were we to see the Katseye performance? Pretty damn excited. #Grammys

Happy Black History Month.

German soccer is full of accomplished Black players, coaches, media figures, and fan figures that often go unnoticed.

We try to make sure these people don't get lost to history every month, but it's always good to really make sure in February.

Sam Healey once again failing a basic character test. He's an absolute millstone around the Dice Towers neck. I wonder if Tom will actually say anything about this or just keep pretending that politics don't matter in the USA these days.

What exactly is being celebrated here? The designers and publisher of Terraforming Mars have repeatedly shown themselves to be anti-artistry and pro-bigotry. BGG has missed an opportunity to celebrate humanity and creativity rather than just products and popularity.

Because I do software engineering/data science work but in a non-traditional industry, I keep an eye on the data/tech world. It is really troubling to see how many people in that industry talk about companies like Meta, Palantir, and OpenAI in broadly neutral terms, and not the evil that they are

Pick up the nearest book. Turn to page 42, post the 2nd sentence.

While putting together lighbulb proposals for the lighbulb maker, she used a silhouette of me on my stepladder, and tried it out on the company, and the company said That! That man is our lightbulb man! (You Shall Know Our Velocity!)
Pick up the nearest book. Turn to page 42, post the second sentence.

Yet there was a remarkable gentleness and childishness about these people, a special inaptitude for any kind of sharp practice, and an untiring readiness to help and pity one another... 1/2

(and if you haven't read Pictures at a Revolution, you absolutely should)
This killer is coming from Criterion in April--a hugely influential, visually extraordinary 1967 LA noir. For those who've read Pictures at a Revolution: I originally had a much longer (wisely abandoned) concept that would have included this film. I'm so happy to have done a video for this release!

The "Cotton Bowl" will always be that dump that I saw countless football games and concerts in. (it was vaguely close to Metamorphosis Records, so most visits to Fair Park also included a swing by there to buy something interesting)
I refuse to call that college football game in Arlington the "Cotton Bowl" because the Cotton Bowl is a stadium in Fair Park. And nobody ever talks about the fact it hasn't been used for a bowl game since 2019. Which, after a $140M makeover, is just embarrassing.
