It's time for the 2026 book thread 📚 #BookSky
Last year I somehow managed to read 72 books because I realised I can walk on my walking pad and read at the same time. I'm not convinced I can hit 72 again so we're aiming for a more modest 60 books in this year. I'll also review any comics I read.

in theory, i support medically assisted dying. however it cannot be done by this government and it cannot be done until (AT MINIMUM) we have:
- fully funded and supported palliative care
- a truly supportive welfare state that does not try to push disabled people into poverty at any chance it gets

For the past 7-8 years I've did a thread of all the books I read in a year on tge bird app, this year I'm going to post here and there.
My goal is 50 books as I read 49 last year. I'm reading a lot more comics right now and may post those alongside the books.

This is my take on it too, in principle I'm in favour of euthanasia, but given the UK government's attitude to disability and austerity, I absolutely don't trust them with that kind of power
