Get ready - UCP is about to pass a law saying who's allowed to run in elections next time. Only the "serious" need apply. Is this partisan? No answer to that. Column.

“The fact that there is not a private proponent despite obviously huge willingness on the part of Alberta to subsidize this using tax dollars should tell you everything you need to know about the reality of this project, which is that it is not a real project,” Eby said.

I think one of the best things about having a membership to ANTIFA is their monthly potlucks.

Not a fan of their speed dating events though. Way too many barrel fires.

It's just a projection, it's not destiny. But It doesn't get much closer than this.

In 2015 Calgary Confederation came down to a 2% difference between the Conservative and Liberal vote. If we all 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞, 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫, and 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 - we can win this.

Four days to go.

I’ve seen some confusion about what Mike Myers meant w/ “Elbows up” closing out SNL. Some saying it means “fight”. Let a hockey obsessive explain the nuance.

Elbows up is a warning to teammates that liberties are being taken with no calls. So if they’re taking a piece, make sure they get it worse

Here's a short list of communicable diseases that were once devastating but we rarely think of anymore in Canada, thanks to public health victories of the past.

If this trend continues, the risk may soon reach 0%.

A few thoughts on Canadian fans booing the US anthem:

Thought 1: If the Americans win on Saturday and/or win the whole tournament, it will be because they were the best team and deserved it, and that will be true no matter who tries to pretend that Canadian fans somehow influenced the outcome.

Correct.

A friend suggested that next month Trump will use his awesome tariff powers to get U.S. Customs agents placed *inside* Canadian airports and, wow, if Trump succeeds in pulling that off, I'll be impressed.
So Trump hurt America's relationship with Canada and made markets wobble all to "get" Canada to do things Canada had announced back in December in coordination with the Biden administration, do I have that right?

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

Overnight a science superpower
