This series is incredibly good.

The point of this column is to rank who's most likely to win the Stanley Cup. Normally that means a team from each division. Not today.

(In related news, apparently pretty much all the commenters are also wrong.)
The Latvian Olympic jerseys are sick and all of my colleagues have terrible taste.

Gary Bettman said consolidating #NHLJets 1.0 and 2.0 records was easier said than done.

So I took all of the reasons it could be hard to The Athletic's local history buff, @downgoesbrown.bsky.social, to see what he could come up with 👀⤵️

Sean McIndoe weighs on the records debate around the Winnipeg Jets and shows there's a pretty simple solution.

New post: Wait, is it weird that it's so hard to find a player in the Eastern Conference who's in the "best player in the league" conversation?

www.nytimes.com/athletic/691...
Why is naming the NHL’s best Eastern Conference player so weirdly hard?
Some of the most obvious options are out of commission, underperforming or just getting old. Who actually has a realistic claim right now?

It's weird that 16 of these 17 players are all from the same conference, right?

Crazy fun trivia question here.

@downgoesbrown.bsky.social was able to find FOUR (LOL) active players who have lined up against the Sabres in a playoff game. Can you name them?

A not-figurative generation of NHL players has come & gone while the Sabres have been on King Terry XVI’s visionquest.

My short answer to “has Berube lost the Leafs” is “yes, it sure seems that way, and that says way more about these players than it does about the coach”.

This is great news. According to every other fan base for the last few decades, dumb Leaf fans buying tickets was the main thing keeping them from winning.

It's Double Canadians vs. Double Americans, two teams made up of players who represent their country both internationally and in the NHL.
