It's time to step back and call this one done for now. I'd say I'm quite pleased with how the end result turned out. The more dramatic and stark shading gives it a lot more depth than I normally manage.

I don't know why hyperfixation makes me only do art in single-sitting bursts. My writing spree has put several good scenes in my head, so I finally took a stab at drawing my two boys, Chase and Daniel, in the desert doing what young lovers do.

but I just DID. THIS. over the course of about an hour, with NO refs, NO tracing, NO aides at all. i just sketched out anatomy and posing like I knew what I was doing. is... do artists just feel like this ALL THE TIME?!?!
