I think fascist epistemology boils down to "Being able to silence anyone who says I'm wrong is the same thing as being right." They have to deny reality not just to eliminate criticism, but also to hide the evidence when reality inevitably refuses to bow to their demands.

The reason this representative doesn’t have a police escort to get him access to this facility is because the police are on the side of the concentration camps.
Rep. Juan Vargas, a Democrat from San Diego, is at the Otay Mesa concentration camp today demanding access to the facility.
The ICE detention center is run by the private prison company CoreCivic.
