i dug out my old 2-3DSes recently and i'm sure i knew this when the 3DS was curent, but it's even more obvious now how inferior a console it was. the 3DS takes a minute thirty or so to boot and then load the cartridge. the 2DS hasn't slowed down perceptibly at all despite being a much older console.

it's a real fucking shame that south of midnight released in the current gaming environment. it's a work of art, but since the main character is a Black woman and her identity is important to the plot, it's "woke DEI nonsense". i'd hate to see compulsion games dissolve over this.
