Trump’s comments are vile. I am just as angry at the media outlets that bothsided Jamal’s murder, wrote puff pieces for MBS (Atlantic).

And, the Washington Post opinion page that dismantled the platform that Jamal wrote for, ended the fellowship in his name, and purged its human rights writers.

A reminder that seven years ago almost to the day, the CIA determined that Mohammed Bin Salman ordered the killing of @washingtonpost.com journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

I hired and worked with Jamal for a year.

This. This all day.
Donald Trump could have just kept his mouth shut about Jamal Khashoggi.

But to smear a dead journalist, while sitting with the person accused of orchestrating his murder is just vile.

Every time this administration hits rock bottom, a trap door seems to open.

Cretin behavior.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

Trust in science will increase when we stop all the money being used to fund anti-science political attacks and spread disinformation.

Trump’s lies about grocery prices are the one set of his lies that have never concerned me. It’s the one subject where it doesn’t matter how much he lies about it, he fools absolutely no one who shops for groceries. Something which, incidentally, he has never done in his life.

He thinks ahead... about his next (usually fast food) meal?
Why do people persist in believing that Trump ever thinks ahead about anything
I'm having trouble believing he gave in without a plan for how to forestall at the next defensive point, like releasing only files that don't incriminate him?

Let's make this clear: wherever Starbucks is, we’ll be there too until we win a fair contract and an end to union busting.

Our ULP strike is just getting started. And we'll keep calling on allies to say #NoContractNoCoffee with us!

The lone holdout in the House vote on the Epstein File release bill was Clay Higgins, a toxically conservative, racist conspiracy theorist. People in Louisiana need to remember this and punish him in 2026:

Epstein files: Who is Clay Higgins, US congressman who voted no on release?
The House approved the measure by an overwhelming margin of 427, including 216 Republicans, with one vote of dissent.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act includes a provision that permits Pam Bondi to withhold any information she deems necessary and anything that "would jeopardize an active federal investigation or ongoing prosecution."

This is why the GOP voted for it.

Kindness once shaped how a country judged itself. A warm home, a fair wage, a hand held out. Now the love of money stands where kindness stood. Policy worships profit. Politics rewards cruelty. A nation that forgets kindness slowly forgets its soul, and the cost shows in every street.

Do the right thing, Larry.
Step down. Old sicko.
For context: Larry Summers continued with Epstein despite

2008: Epstein guilty plea in Florida

2008-19: MANY civil lawsuits (including by Virginia Giuffre) against Epstein for child rape/trafficking

2018: Miami Herald's @jkbjournalist.bsky.social blockbuster series on Epstein trafficking ring
When former Harvard President Lawrence H. Summers was pursuing a romantic relationship with a woman he described as a mentee, he turned to a longtime associate for guidance: Jeffrey E. Epstein.

Billie Eilish asked an important question: "If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?"

There are FIVE ways to accumulate a billion dollars:

1) Profiting from a monopoly
2) Insider-trading
3) Political payoffs
4) Fraud
5) Inheritance

Billionaires are the result of a failed system.
