I have been thinking all day about the number of times unarmed Black people were killed by police on the pretext that their cell phone looked like a gun. And people would say “oh but you just don‘t know what the truth is.” Well here it is.

It’s tough to tune in to the USWNT game today knowing this generation of players isn’t the type to make a united statement against the fascist violence we’re seeing in MN & all across the US. It’s just sad knowing that a lot of us used to feel a strong connection to the WNT bc of its brave activism.

Per his colleagues: The victim’s name was apparently Alex Pretti and he was an ICU nurse caring for severely injured veterans at the VA Hospital. He was acting as an observer, filming the raid. Any suggestion that he was there with violence on his mind is horrific gaslighting.
