Bev deserving COTY isn’t to say Vlatko didn’t have a historic season with KC (he did) or that Adrian didn’t do well with the Spirit (he did), but that Bev did more with way less than either of those two. And she did it in the midst of unimaginable personal loss.
Her ability to develop players, her unique mentality, her historic season with Racing Louisville, and persevering through everything that was thrown at her both on and off the field, here’s why I believe Bev Yanez deserves to be #NWSL Coach of the Year.

Thinking about top German prospects who went to PL teams instead of Bayern in recent years, & wondering when was the last time such a player did sign w/ FCB… I wouldn’t count either Tah or Bischof in that category (Bischof is more “promising”, Tah overrated imo).

Did any of y’all at the stadium think there was a handball in the lead up to LCL’s goal? Inconclusive from the quick replay, but Spurs players seemed to be calling for it.
Anyway, we had to grow into the game (Olivia in particular, surprisingly) but definitely earned the equalizing penalty.

There were at least two penalty-worthy infractions there so I’m glad the ref actually gave us one 😝 I love Saki from her Bayern days but man, she had been getting away with a lot up until then.

Okay, I finally caught up on some of the women’s and men’s FSs.
My jaw was on the floor for the last two men, literally saying “oh wow, oh wow!!” at the conclusion of the scoring. I personally prefer Shun’s skating but I’m happy for Yuma that he’s skating with so much joy and confidence.
