Dad of one, husband to none. Mature student studying for a degree. Occasional thinker of deep thoughts and permanent thinker of a few sarcastic ones. Prone to the odd Dad joke from time to time.

If you watch only one video today, let it be this one.

Watch NYU Stern School of Business Professor Scott Galloway’s outstanding commentary on what prosperity and wealth should mean in America.

His words could not be more on point and timely.

Please pass it on.

Having just seen Musk and Trump are exchanging words, I am of course going to do the sensible, mature thing...and unmute two surnames, grab some popcorn and settle down for a fun evening on social media...
a woman is sitting at a table and says the plot thickens ...
Alt: Jessica Fletcher (the late, great Angela Lansbury) munches popcorn as the plot thickens...

This kid is 15, and so has a moral clarity and uprightness that no adult elected official would or could ever have. There aren't really and never have been two sides of this issue, but if it has to be argued as a binary thing I don't see how anything less than this could seem like the side to be on.
this is a letter to the editor from a high school track runner who came in second to a trans girl in a race. her state house rep in maine started talking about it. so she wrote this: www.pressherald.com/2025/05/14/r...

Starmer's language was deplorable.

It was grotesquely offensive, accusing people who have brought their gifts to this country of doing "incalculable" "damage"; & politically foolish, in endorsing Farage's claims of an establishment conspiracy.

But bad analogies with Powell miss the key problem. 🧵

Let's talk about these two department store owners: brother and sister Louis Bamberger and Caroline Bamberger Fuld. From Newark, New Jersey.

They are random people, basically. But in the late 1920s, with fascism taking over Europe, they made a choice that profoundly changed the world: 🧵

🚨 With the CEOs of 12 major aid orgs, we are making an urgent plea: let us do our jobs.

Every single person in Gaza is relying on humanitarian aid to survive.

That lifeline has been cut off since a blockade on all aid supplies was imposed by Israeli authorities on 2nd March.

If politicians on both sides of the house can go out of their way to avoid even saying "Brexit", should we be the slightest bit surprised that the IEA will go out of their way to avoid admitting to being cheerleaders for "Brexit"?
IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!! 🤣🤣🤣

The IEA is denying that they ever backed Brexit!!!

Me vs Reem Ibrahim on BBC5Live

The Institute of Economic Affairs can see the public has turned against Brexit so much that they're re-writing history to avoid the blame!

Today, the world mourns the passing of Pope Francis.

He inspired millions, far beyond the Catholic Church, with his humility and love so pure for the less fortunate.

My thoughts are with all who feel this profound loss.

I wonder if there will ever come a day when a certain someone will look at that staged photograph of herself with a glass of wine in one hand, puffing on a cigarette and a look of pure gloating...

...and wonder if by trolling her critics, she might have fucked up in the court of public opinion.

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

A while ago a lovely German man appeared at our church. He came a few times to look around during our Saturday opening hours, before asking if the piano abandoned in the corner worked.

I told him it was horrendously out of tune, and the cathedral piano tuner had deemed it not worth sorting out.
