If Democrats say they can lower prices, they'll just end up getting booted out of office in the first election cycle after they get in power, because this is not something a President can do. It was an empty promise from Trump and it would be one from Dems, too.

If a government’s actions in a democracy require masks — if the people being governed in that democracy cannot know who is acting — that is a problem with what the government is doing, not with the governed. www.lawdork.com/p/tom-homan-...
The Trump admin argument that masks "are for officer safety reasons" is actually an admission
Tom Homan highlights how secrecy aims to block accountability, the immoral lawlessness at the core of the Trump administration. And, for paid subscribers: Closing my tabs.

It's useful to focus on one issue - say climate or LGBT rights - and analyze closely how a Dem admin handled it versus how a GOP admin did.

If you have red lines, great... if you're still doing "Dems are moderate Rs" or "uniparty" talk when the gulf between the parties is this vast, you're stupid.
You are one member of a larger coalition. That coalition has a process through which it decides who will lead it. “If you don’t decide to support my guy, I will leave the coalition” is behavior that will destroy the coalition, weaken yourself, and ultimately lead to worse outcomes than participating
Hey maybe the dems should learn a lesson and not run "moderate" Dems who are actually just republicans

The reason people are concerned about lefties saying “I won’t vote for a moderate Dem” isn’t because they want Newsom. It’s because lefties keep not voting for moderate Dems!

I think all the scolding about it being years til the primary would hit a little harder if WE DIDN’T JUST GO THROUGH THIS

Talk amongst themselves about independent Alberta isn't treason, just as talk in TX or CA about seceding from U.S. isn't treason. It's free speech. Consulting w/ U.S. re: secession is NOT free speech. It's foreign policy interference -- and really stupid. canadianpolling.substack.com/p/canadians-...

I don't think there was ever any appetite for the Christian right to "be somewhat cut off from mainstream society for the sake of holding on to the truth" -- just the opposite. Likewise, a commitment to truth is equally in bad faith--pun intended.

We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.
