astrology can be very hard to talk about with the majority of people (often including other astrologers!) because both its study and practice is deeply intertwined with epistemology, aka how we know what we know and to what extent we can know it. plus, metaphysics, history, and translation!

Pingree's refusal to gloss over the importance of folly in the evolution of knowledge was part and parcel of his devotion to investigating primary sources. Reading the texts that scholars actually wrote makes it necessary to come to terms with how they actually thought, a task too easily avoided in the sanitized narratives provided by

This means if you are in the habit of saying things like "fuck Trump" or "I hope Cheney burns in hell", probably a good amount of your feed isn't seeing those posts because, unbeknownst to them, Bsky has shielded grown adults from "rude" "threats" like this.
