The conservative war on the 20th century continues.
Chris Rufo—a prominent anti-DEI crusader—-says the “idea that private companies should be able to prioritize hiring married men w/ families is completely within the bounds of rzbl debate, &…it's absurd that individuals cannot hire whomever they want [ie, discriminate] in their own companies…” 1/

I see we're sticking with the lie that it's not a bungled economy and possible recession, it's just AI.
Fox: Job cuts surpassed 1 million, the highest October total since 2003. US-based employers announced 71,321 job cuts in November, up 24% from the job cuts announced last year.

Nothing killed the station wagon. They still exist, but have largely been replaced by utility vehicles and the DOT's inability to rein in their sizes.
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

I'm begging Dem leadership to vet their responses with the simple test of "Would Mitch McConnell say this?"
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

It really isn’t said enough how much these people straight up hate America. People should say this a lot more frequently. They simply don’t like the good parts of modern American life.
"Sources in the Trump administration have previously told Zeteo that officials will at times intentionally use popular music from vocally anti-Trump performing artists, in order to trigger a negative response from a famous liberal and provide further amplification of their pervasive culture war,"
NEWS: The Trump-Vance White House is attacking Sabrina Carpenter.

In a new statement, the White House — led by Trump, a liable sexual abuser mired in scandal for ties to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — suggests Carpenter is "stupid" and is defending pedophiles and rapists.

POTUS and SecDef deny they’re responsible for the kill order described by the WaPo. Assuming the WaPo story to be accurate, the implication is that service members on the ground exceeded their orders or otherwise failed to follow the rules of engagement.

Why does everything look dry? Turkey obv, but the mashed potatoes don't have enough cream, the macaroni almost looks hard and uncooked, even the boiled vegetables seem like they were finished with a hair dryer.

So the Kremlin sent over a plan, not realizing the White House was so lazy and in the tank for them that it would just run it through Google Translate, and now realizes they should have started with a more aggressive open. Got it.
Russia flat out rejects Trump's 28-point peace plan: "Even in a reduced military and territorial form, Ukraine would remain a significant danger, requiring us to keep our forces on the western borders."

The RealPage panic was dumb bc they don't have this much affect on rental prices. This is still a hilarious chart.
I think this is mostly San Francisco finally shrugging off the pandemic, but it is *really* funny that rent prices in San Francisco shot up *immediately* after the city banned RealPage and other algorithmic price setting software.

This was always the danger with the GOP midterm gerrymanders, that they'd already drawn the lines so finely, the only way they could find more seats is to break anti-discrimination laws.

This will, of course, be moot once SCOTUS throws those out as well.
BREAKING & BIG: Federal judge BLOCKS Texas from implementing new, gerrymandered maps for 2026 midterms. Judge Jeffrey Brown (TRUMP APPOINTEE) wrote opinion, joined by Judge David Guaderrama (Obama appointee). Judge Jerry Smith (Reagan appointee) dissents.
