Queens CB4 is home to maybe the most severe overcrowding in the entire city, so of course they'd want to ease that with some new apartments, right? gothamist.com/news/elmhurs...

It seems like every five years we get left policy wonks who think repealing Faircloth will create a social housing utopia, and I'm sorry to report that's just not the case.

We should get rid of it bc artificial barriers to more homes is bad, but it's not a real barrier to social/public housing.

I'll allow this from Suozzi. At the end of the day his voice does not matter/he at least acknowledges he has worse instincts than Hochul.

Jaguar is American? Target went woke? Disney didn't just beat earnings expectations? It's all lies for the sake of outrage and attention, all the time.

This honestly might be the best pizza I've made. Using my meatloaf for the meatballs (I use a meatball recipe) was exceptional. And the combo of homemade sauce, provolone base and galbani block cheese for with Parm grated on top...amazing.

Full sheet grandma pie tonight. Half cheese for the kids, half meatball. It's a little more well done than I would have liked, but the taste test will be key.

Bc I'm not seeing this on here...seems like Mamdani is doing exactly what he needs to do to make the general a snoozer.

jfc, this non-endorsement endorsement from the @nytimes.com (which is no longer in the business of endorsements) is some weak, weak shit. It's like if stooge Rich Azzopardi was tasked with writing an editorial on the mayoral election but was forbidden from endorsing his boss (Cuomo).

I'm losing my mind.

I do not share this from the @nypost.com with glee, but Cuomo becoming mayor is something that can't happen.
May 24, 2025 at 5:35 PM
Remember when Cuomo flirted with Elon Musk to crush the competence of Andy Byford? Do we want to bring this back?
May 8, 2025 at 1:07 PM
The one saving grace right now is that Cuomo's appeal doesn't appear to extend beyond name recognition, if the new Siena poll is a good indicator. But it still may be enough for him to win.

Lol he's doing the meme.

This is not how you increase ridership to a destination that needs it.

jfc, if you don't want to be the party that's basically the office HR rep, don't try to hide behind language like you're an office HR rep.

Right, they should start tolling at 8 am on the weekends, when speeds noticeably start to drop.

Quit your posturing, man. You're just as capable of taking the train from Hollis as I am taking it from Kew Gardens when I go into the city on the weekends with my family.

She'll only be assessed once per day, even if multiple trips in and out of the zone. congestionreliefzone.mta.info/tolling

Not perfect but not bad considering I thought the dough was a bust.

As an illustration of NYC's failure to imagine, this is a new-build single-family home only a few hundred feet from the subway.

It would not have been covered in the original, modest City of Yes text (street not >75 ft), but it was doubly exempted in the city council revisions (R-2 zoning).
