i ADORED Alien: Earth but this *completely nails* the show's weakest points (avoiding trans/queer anythings in this new world).

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Mahmoud. Mahmoud was a computer engineer doing web development before this. He’s lost his job and home (and many coworkers) and is in a tent with his family including his children Zeina, 6 and Zane, 2. His wife Malak is 7 months pregnant.

it’s also an outright lie. there’s more than enough food. if you really, really want to talk in terms of pragmatism, it’s more pragmatic to feed and house people with no strings attached than it is to let people starve and be homeless.

for quite literally any reason if you take any variety of hormones that's really cool. in the whole of human history, the ability to have such a direct hand in our own biology was unfathomable. it is cutting edge technology akin to magic and it's the coolest thing in the world. hormomes fucking rule
