Look at this beautiful data visualization by a man named Colin
"The city is really another character in the story."

Oh, for sure. The time period, too. The cover art, the copyright page, they're all characters! We live in a character ouroborous that shall birth and feed on itself until the sun goes black, and in that moment, we will say, "This is a character."

We need to establish a Hugging Height Differential standard. If the HHG between two adults is too large, they must default to fist bumping. No more of this bending-at-the-waist nonsense.

I just can't understand the purpose of gnocchi.

You want little bite-sized potatoes? They already exist! You want to drench them in sauce like pasta? You don't need permission!

Y'all are turning the perfect food into a weak imitation of itself, and it makes God weep.

Idea: A musical about a 2-year old that keeps killing his babysitters and turning them into Gerber meat sticks. I call it Sweeney Toddler.

I own not one, but TWO t-shirts extolling my love for egg salad, and I'm not even 50 yet. Can't wait to see what the future brings.
Turn around and you’re in your fifties, elbows deep in thirty-five pounds of egg salad, wondering exactly where it all went wrong.

Caveman brain sees patterns. Modern, evolved brain wishes it didn't. But caveman brain doesn't care.

A real good news/bad news situation for the SanDisk marketing team this morning...
Tragic Titan submersible’s $62 SanDisk memory card found undamaged at wreckage site — 12 stills and nine videos have been recovered, but none from the fateful OceanGate implosion
The specialist camera was rated to 6,000m, but the lens and some of its components were probably damaged by the implosion.

I've come to believe that the funniest possible insult is "love that for you." If you could all love that for me at some point today, I think it would help a lot.

Wherein my genius is wasted in the replies
Daisy, Daisy,
Give me your answer, dude
I'm half starving
All for the meat you stewed
It won't be a stylish buffet
You can't afford an entree
But you'll look fair
Upon the chair
Of a bicycle built for food

If you want to really understand how different the 1980s were: I watched this movie at a sleepover birthday party in *third* grade.

Then we wandered the streets unsupervised for a while, got yelled at by some drunks to go home, and toilet papered a classmate's house.

In an old ad for board game Scattergories in Spain a player was shown flouncing out while anothet said “OK, we’ll accept ‘octopus’ as a pet”.
“Aceptamos pulpo” has now entered the language in the meaning of “that’s a bit of a stretch but let’s go with it just for the sake of argument”.

*cough* *cough* The suburbia, doc. It's getting worse. Last night I dreamed I was making a pasta carbonara for my celebrity crush and my dead friend... and my only thought upon waking was "that recipe would never work."

My kid's teacher made a ridiculous assertion and I am THIS close to highlighting every instance of passive voice in Shakespeare and giving it to him as a Christmas present.
