* Yes, she had the misfortune of being on the later unfunny seasons of Designing Women, but I don't hold it against her.

You should read this. It is the type of detail that experts in authoritarian regimes see as telling.
In this case, state agents are offered impunity from higher ups, and the legal system is rendered inoperative as a mode of accountability.

This morning at the Minnesota State Capitol.

An ice sculpture that reads "PROSECUTE ICE". I'm told the organization behind the sculpture is Common Defense.

It's wild seeing people giving a thumbs up to Schumer and then the next post is stuff like this. Like the difference between the view from DC and the reality on the ground couldn't be more stark
I’m on the scene at Franklin and 1st. A convoy of about a couple dozen ICE/HSI agents broke the entryway into an apartment building at 6am. No warrant presented. Less than 24 hours ago, Tom Homan announced the end of large convoys in Minnesota… Bullshit.

CNN: "New data shows January was the lowest months for job cuts since the 2009 Great Recession...layoffs way up, hiring ways down. During the month of January, US-based employers announced just over 108,000 layoffs. That's roughly double January 2025. In fact, this is the highest since January 2009"

"Make Republicans defend her. Make them go on record.
Make them take the hard vote and defend the indefensible."

Friends: This is terrible, I’m so mad! How can I fight back?

Me: you should cancel Amazon Prime.

Friends: Oh, I can’t do that. Where am I going to buy all my stuff?

Good on you @heatherrandell.bsky.social! It’s true, you won’t spend as much and it feels good to break up with a evil monopoly.
I canceled Amazon Prime in October and it feels so good! I buy less crap I don’t need (and certainly don’t need with 2-day delivery) and I try to shop locally a bit more. You too can do this!
Amazon paid Ms. Trump’s production company $40 million for the rights to “Melania.

Because Ms. Trump had editorial control over “Melania,” the film has “no artistic or journalistic integrity,” says Julie Cohen, one of the directors of "RBG."

100%. You're either on the side of the cops or you're on the side of the people. It's always been that way but too many voters have only seen cops on TV and not in their neighborhoods and you can tell. This is not a good deal for Americans.
Unfortunately Democrats only know how to give cops more money, technology, and staffing. They only have one button to press and they’re making a very concerned face as they press it

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.
