A guy who used to run a hockey site about the Ottawa Senators
“And so that’s why we had six players go out together on the go-ahead goal!”

HC of Team Czechia, Radim Rulik, did not feel the officiating in their game against Team Canada was fair going as far as saying it felt like Czechia was playing against six players 😳

Can’t say I’d miss Tom Wilson in the next game if he wants to sit one
February 15, 2026 at 6:01 PM
If Binnington plays any more games it is honestly malpractice.

Chlapik is a point a game in the Czech league! I bet he could help a fourth line!

See all your favourite former Senators "that guy might be something..." stars:

Stephane Da Costa!
Filip Chlapik!
Rudolfs Balcers!
Kaspars Daugavins!
Nikolas Matinpalo! (Getting ahead of this one)
The Olympics are fun because you suddenly see a guy you almost came to blows arguing we could get a 2nd round pick for at the deadline back in 2011

He sucks! Worst goalie in the NHL this year. Not more complicated than that!

that rebound by Binnington is the kind of thing you just do not get away with when the games get serious

When it’s winning time, I can only assume Cooper will let the horses run wild. MacKinnon, MacDavud, Celebrini, Crosby, Stone, Marner — everyone else can get a shift where necessary imo bsky.app/profile/risi...
Tom Wilson back on McDavid’s wing. If you read this earlier, you are not shocked!
The super line sure was fun to watch Friday — but Jon Cooper isn’t 100 per cent it’s what he’ll stick with nationalpost.com/sports/olymp...

Maybe with a bit more time men's hockey will be internationally competitive.

Is it heresy to say it seems like Spooner doesn’t really have the juice anymore? Feels like she finishes that 2-on-0 a couple years ago
February 14, 2026 at 4:40 PM
Think the best outcome here is Binnington gets his shit rocked but Canada pulls out a 6-5 win or something. That man cannot be allowed near the net in an elimination game

Someone who knows women’s hockey better than me: I had read Team Canada made some “controversial” choices. Are the US really this much better now or do we have a team with an unnecessarily old and “experienced” lineup for nebulous hockey reasons?

Binnington won the Cup seven years ago! It seems crazy that his performance at that time is still carrying such weight today

Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved table tennis.
Trump, in the middle of his latest unhinged Truth Social screed, claims that if Canada makes a trade deal with China, "the first thing China will do is terminate ALL Ice Hockey being played in Canada, and permanently eliminate The Stanley Cup."

Felt like a slap in the face to anyone who cared about player safety when Parros was given the job, but he’s somehow been even worse than I expected.

When it comes to the actual on-ice aspect of the NHL, there is not a bigger stain on the sport than George Parros.

Moral victories suck but that’s another very good game by the skaters for the Sens.
February 4, 2026 at 2:51 AM
If you got fooled by Reimer playing well for two periods in his first game or whatever and thought that was going to be how things would go, that’s on you. He sucks, he’s been terrible for years.

Any pro player can look good for a game or two. He’s probably gonna have some more good performances.
February 4, 2026 at 2:34 AM
I can't imagine he loves it, but Zetterlund is spiritually a great fourth liner to me. Some skill, a lot of energy, can slide up the lineup on occasion as needed. Too bad the Sens gave him that contract, tho.

Sens' PP with some real good stuff tonight. Super poised, moving the puck crisply. Love to see it.

If they both play their full (or close to) careers in Ottawa, and don't suffer major injuries, will Jake Sanderson and Tim Stützle go down as the best defenseman and forward in franchise history?

Not often you see Sandy get turnstiled like that. Seth Jarvis is very good.
