I don't know how much Milan Lucic (PTO with STL) has left in the tank; this is what he brought to the table as of the northern summer of 2023; he's played four games since then.

I guess I understand why the Stars didn't go with my third jersey concept but it wasn't necessary for them to send me a picture of Miro Heiskanen spitting on a printout of it. I thought we were past that.

I told my 13yo that I was working on some website design improvements and she said in a matter-of-fact way "that's good, since it looks like an expensive washing machine". I may never recover.

The only good thing about my now-destroyed high school is that Colleen Jones skipped the curling team way back when.
I interviewed Colleen a couple of times over the years. She was so gracious and so accomplished.

The only good thing about my now-destroyed high school is that Colleen Jones skipped the curling team way back when.
Watched Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express with the family the other night and I think my 11yo said "the train is so cool" at least half a dozen times. We're raising him right.

Little scrap of visual grammar that I would love to see become common: rounded edges on the labels of things that move around (they bump into one another, it smooths them, like a rock tumbler), but square edges for labels that do not move, so you know they're more like doorplates.

I always get a laugh when people say that Kopitar does a lot of "intangible" things. If you mean "helps his team win in ways that aren't measurable with points" you can just say that. It's still plenty tangible.

That Eller penalty is really Kleven's fault, which is one example of why my penalty model isn't just individual take/draws.

You can't help but notice the positive correlation between penalties taken and drawn; I've been reworking my penalty model to see if I can finally satisfy myself about possible competing mechanisms that might cause it.

If you stopped me on the street with a lapel mic inexplicably clipped to a household object and asked me "who among all the humans of the earth might be suffering from a case of the hiccups strong enough to require hallucigenic medications" I would say "jair bolsonaro" instantaneously.
I too once violated house arrest because of a hiccup meds related psychosis
