Hello new followers. I'm a middle-aged man who occasionally finds time to play videogames in between parenting, work and exhaustion.

Thanks for joining me.
Just spitballing here, but could Larry the Cat be the secret orchestrator of the downfall of the United Kingdom?
15 years ago today I arrived on Downing Street in a cage.
I've seen off Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak and I'm still going strong.
Only two Prime Ministers have ever done longer stints here: William Pitt the Younger and Sir Robert Walpole.
Bill and Bob - I'm coming for you...

Made a start on Earth Must Die yesterday. Excellent animation and VO performances, plus an enjoyably unnecessary number of penis jokes. Quality.

Bacon-wrapped chicken thighs, roast baby potatoes and pan-fried carrots, asparagus and tomatoes. Served with a glass of wine.

I know how to please a lady!

Thoughts on The Muppet Show (2026). It wasn't funny. The puppetry was uninventive. Kermit didn't even sound much like Kermit. Sabrina Carpenter repeating herself over and over. Not sure why they made this. They had no ideas.

Started rewatching the Daredevil TV series from the start. That one-shot corridor fight at the end of episode 2 remains one of the best things to have ever come out of the MCU.

I woke up this morning from a dream that I'd been on the latest series of Traitors, and I was cross that nobody seemed remotely interested or had asked me about it.

For a moment, I think I realised how my dementia will manifest... 😬

I've never understood the obsession with "personas" in design. Human psychology is not complicated. Make something that works first! Then let the scrubs in Marketing worry who to sell it to.

And never be tempted to create a Marketing feedback loop. They are evil and insane.

I looked to see who was near me, and the closest person I recognise is @adamenamedamy.bsky.social. *waves frantically* hiiiiiiiii!!
I made a map of 3.4 million Bluesky users - see if you can find yourself!

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

What do you do when you can't find a complete, decent quality of the arcade soundtrack you're looking for? Why look up the service manual and find the sound test and record it yourself obvs!

Gen AI is not for poor people that can't afford to do it themselves. It's for rich people so lazy that paying poor people to do things for them is too much of a hassle.

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work:

“No, you can't have that. It's against disability discrimination law..."
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work:

“Did you submit a ticket for this?”

And, despite drilling the support ticket concept into people constantly since mid-August 2025, I still have to remind them.

I even wear “Ticket Or It Didn’t Happen” shirts, but NOO.
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"It's in the syllabus."

Bomberman is a God-tier spectacular multiplayer game. Single-player Bomberman is merely one of the most fun action arcade games ever.
people thinking bomberman is only good as a multiplayer game. never understood it. playing single-player is fine if you think of it as Action Picross
