We have allowed a multi system vascular virus to spread unchecked for nearly 6 years.

Public health has failed to advise folks of the risk to long term health, or of the fact that there’s no such thing as “mild” COVID.

Yet doctors blame sudden rise in young stroke patients on everything BUT Covid
Why so many people are having strokes in their 20s, 30s and 40s: ‘We’ve never had patients so young’
Dr. Mohammad Anadani has shared some intriguing theories on what’s behind the alarming trend of healthy, 20-somethings having strokes.

This is absolutely terrible news.

With the shifting regulatory climate (i.e., antivax ratfuckery), Moderna has withdrawn their application for their eagerly anticipated COVID-flu combo vaccine. This vaccine offered better protection than getting each shot separately.

Boy, when I listen to Mark Carney talk about his plan for investing in Canada’s economy, for breaking down interprovincial & international barriers, for doubling home building, and for turning Canada into an energy superpower, I’m struck by how clearly he knows what he’s talking about.

Refreshing.

Reminder as we watch measles rates climb in Canada that *this* is Poilievre's attitude towards vaccination during a public health emergency.

MMR vaccination has long been mandated for health care workers.

Would a Poilievre govt ban the MMR mandate in health care during a huge measles outbreak?

Of course you’re not. Most people weren’t worried about it, until it happened to them

This is true of most disabilities. People think they’re the exception. That we’ve done something “wrong”. It’ll be different for them

Disability can & does happen to everyone.

Masking discourse is on again and I’ll just say if you see people masking when few others are it’s likely because they’ve determined that for them, in that setting, the benefit of not catching (or spreading) whatever’s going around is worth the cost of masking.
