How does the brain integrate artificial body extensions? Using a custom-built finger-extending exoskeleton, we show that wearable augmentations are quickly integrated into body representation, with proprioceptive space adapting to the device’s structure and function.

do I know anyone with insight into the MRC experimental medicine grant process? we received the reviews and two were good (6,5) and two were bad (3,3). i can write a rebuttal to the bad ones relatively easily, but I am wondering, since the competition is fierce, whether there is any point?

The sense of ownership and agency stem from proprioception, the sensory root of self-awareness. In a group of 46 right-brain-damaged patients, the disruption of a bilateral parietal network underlies proprioceptive deficits leading to ownership disorders and anosognosia for hemiplegia.
