The primary diff between writing fiction and nonfiction is when you write nonfic, you research a topic for 2 weeks and then write 1000 words on it and when you write fiction you research a topic for 2 weeks and get one sentence out of it.

Had a fantastic time at Worldcon last week. Highlights were definitely the workshops I attended. I was looking forward to the LitRPG workshop, so that was great to attend, but the dark horse was definitely the SF Poetry workshop. I’ve never written a poem in my life, but it was super fun!

I've just learned that Laura has a whole tracking sheet for her summer reading and that when she gets to a certain number of books she's gifting herself a personal pan pizza. She's doing it folks. She's bringing it back

This is a fantastic book, and I think about it all the time.
Realised I've shilled DRAGONERS here but not my novel THE DEVOURERS. This one's for the sickos (& Romantics), a dark queer mythic realist fantasy; a pack of immortal shapeshifters migrates from Europe to the Mughal Empire in the 17th c, & the snarling wake of their arrival ripples into modern India.
