What do I get out of social media?
I have been watching King of the Hill, a programme that I couldn’t enjoy as a kid because nothing happened in it. I tried, because I loved animation, but I found it boring.
Now as a 35 year old man, I love it for that exact reason. It’s so gentle and slow but skewering in its satire. It’s brilliant

The third Dr Who episode, the land mine episode, is not great. A ham fisted melodrama packed with paper thin characters behaving weirdly and irrationally. A programme that wants you to care and feel bad at all moments in a cartoonish way.

So episode two with Maestro is great.
For anyone who believes that the inclusion of a singing drag queen as a villain in Dr Who is somehow damaging to the Dr Who brand, they can get fucked and cram a Bertie Basset up their jacksie.

So I managed to crawl my way through the tunnel of Glass which was Doctor Who: Flux, and was rewarded by the three David Tennant specials.

An A-level pupil found the lost grave of the Black abolitionist Olaudah Equiano’s daughter, revealing a story of love and solidarity in 18th-century rural England.

It’s not weird that I learnt yesterday the impact that Lord Byron having a sexual relationship with his Half-Sister had a knock on effect that caused a cancellation of one third of the Atlantic’s subscriptions, but it is weird that I learned it yesterday and now I’m hearing about it again today.
