It's #OnlineArtExchange! Of course, it only makes sense that the theme is #Christmas @artukdotorg.bsky.social🎄

We've picked a photograph from the Bingley collection: a snowy day on Cardigan Road, and one of John Atkinson Grimshaw's classic luminous paintings of a beautiful moonlit street in Leeds.❄️

As winter settles over Leeds and lights flicker across the city, our Team Assistant Hannah has been exploring our Cultural Collections for stories of Christmases past.🕯️

It's #MuseumJigsaw and we have found a beautiful seasonal work that we've dug from the collections. This is Shiba Temple in a Snow Storm, one in a series of one hundred famous views of Edo, painted in the 19th century! A beautiful woodcut and ink print. 🖼️❄️

It's #OnlineArtExchange! This week @artukdotorg.bsky.social have chosen 'sisterhood' for Women of Influence: The Pattle Sisters at Watts Gallery.

Our pick is this beautiful Yoruba batik panel depicting three sisters on an errand. There's nothing quite like a good natter with your old sis. 👭💙

It's #OnlineArtExchange! The theme is The Natural World for 'The Nature of Gothic' at @blackburnmuseum.bsky.social 🪵

Inspired by how botanists have meticulously recorded plants and fauna, we've picked this gorgeous illustration in the 'Introduction to Botany' from 1798. 🍄🌷

It's the first of December! 🌟

We hope you enjoy all the Christmas trees being put up across campus. To celebrate the start of the festive month, look at this 1947 edition of The Gryphon! Campus never looked so merry.🎄

There's no feeling quite like discovering the #MuseumShop has an entire wall of postcards to choose from 😍

It's impossible to leave without at least one. Facts.

It's also hard to decide *which* one, and you end up leaving with quite a few...
