Howdy y'all! I've got a new video out! It's all about Monsters Inc. and the way that the film depicts fear.

Check it out if you've got nothing better to do on this snowy Sunday!

I was originally gonna add a joke about how I'm sure I'll go back to hating on Adobe within a day.

Well, it happened lol. Setting the default Gaussian Blur value to 25 on AE is dumb because it forces me to have to change it to the actual value I want to use.

Also, the new smart masking stuff (...)
I love the implication that I'm somehow a Luddite for not wanting to outsource graphics work to GenAI. It always gets ponied up as me not wanting to make my life easier/being a gatekeeper, when that couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth.

For example: I'm a freaking kid in a (...)

New reason to hate AI just dropped.

I made an appointment to get my hair cut somewhere I hadn’t been to in years and Google’s AI showed the same address for the business, a mind a new phone number Only that wasn’t the case, as the phone number was for a random business somewhere else, and (…)

it's cool that so many people in positions of power and influence were so negatively polarized by "wokeness" that they convinced themselves that there was an actual debate about who wanted to erase history and the "wokes" were on the wrong side bsky.app/profile/arch...

See, I know I’m thirty because my first instinct from hearing my annoying college age neighbor start revving his motorcycle for ten minutes at just before midnight on a work night was to sigh, pick up my previously sleeping, but currently barking, chihuahua, and (…)

YouTube's copyright detector is so high tech that, among the chunks of my video essay about Monsters Inc that it claimed was "the full movie," the following shots were flagged as being from the film, too.

New video is delayed for... idk how long. It got copyright hammered.

Apparently Netflix just announced a video podcast starring Pete Davidson that won't be available on podcast apps, and I really must ask...

Isn't that just a talk show?

There is nothing more satisfying than wanting to alter a line in a video you recorded 3(!) months ago and being able to avoid having to match audio through seamlessly Frankenstein cutting a new line together.

It is simply the highest of highs.

Anyway, I’ll have a new video out next week

rare to see an american politician speak in these terms and it rocks
“When I speak about making our city more affordable, my vision is not limited to the homes that we live in or the child care that we’re making universal — it’s also a vision where we make it possible for working people to afford lives of joy, of art, of rest, of expression.”

"it’s kind of crazy that we have to keep going over this, but the corruption remains so glaring"

I appreciate that, while nearly all the Hollywood trades are owned by the company putting on the Golden Globes and therefore just doing PR for this award show, The Ankler is NOT

Babe are you okay? You barely touched your lunch. Are you sad because the Knicks' recent string of mid season losses is giving you flashbacks to the Mets beginning to collapse halfway through their season last summer?

We're five days into the year and I just had to read a comment that tried to explain that gentrification is caused by poor people because they're too poor to have a nice place to live lol.

Pack it up guys. Let's not even try this year

If anyone wants a more succinct picture of how my 2026 is going:

Its 1 AM and I just got unreasonably excited about an ad I got to see a screening of The Princess Bride with a live orchestra, before remembering that my VPN is on and my browser/ad thinks I’m in Canada 🙃

I’ve entered a new circle of hell. Not only does my $1000 Hisense TV from 2023 only recognize my soundbar 50% of the time, it now doesn’t remember inputs and opens to their ad infested OS, and also resets the motion smoothing settings any time you turn the unit off.

God I hate the state of tech.
