Eliminating EPA environmental protections will create a long legacy of human exposure to toxins. It doesn’t just “turn off” but persists in the watershed and the body for years.
I'm not sure anyone yet knows how long it takes to get blood levels of PFAS down after major exposure. But this study found people in Michigan still had elevated PFAS levels three years after the abstaining from their contaminated tap water: www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

In 2018, elevated concentrations of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) (1600 ng/L) were discovered in municipal wells, and the groundwater co…

History shows that once an authoritarian ruler establishes the infrastructure of a police state, that same infrastructure can be turned on anyone.

Trump is rapidly creating such an infrastructure.

As of June 1, nearly 25% of the people arrested by ICE in the interior and sent to detention had NO CRIMINAL RECORD.

Data from the last six years, including 1.5 years of Trump's first term, reveals how this is completely unprecedented. It also helps explain the growing backlash.

Goes to show, the American people are distinct from the American government, and their views, values, and actions do not always align with those of the people and institutions that represent them.

The U.S. higher education system used to be one of our best industries. Students came from all over the world to be educated here and the government-funded research spurred new technologies and start-up companies. Now it’s being bankrupted like a Trump casino. What a waste of talent and opportunity
International students added $44 billion to the U.S. economy during the 2023–2024 academic year. Adecline in international enrollment would also impact local and state economies across the country.

Most of California’s Central Valley is going to be without National Weather Service coverage soon due to government cuts. It supplies about 25% of American produce so how exactly will this make America greater?
