It is so embarrassing that it has taken nearly a decade for a British minister to say this, a statement of the absolute bloody obvious

No-one seems to have noticed, but many of the core developments in the Mandelson/Epstein story these last few days have been broken on this website. @pickardje.bsky.social and @petergeoghegan.bsky.social are both posting each breaking development on BlueSky, not X.

So as I struggled with miscarriage after miscarriage before having my 🌈 baby, Reform would seriously think I should pay more tax during that agony.

This policy isn’t just a slippery slope to a handmaids tale dystopian future - it’s a deliberate step towards it

Reform by-election candidate suggested people who don’t have kids should pay more tax
Exclusive: The Reform politician’s suggestion would ‘punish millions of women and strip them of their basic dignity to choose’, Labour’s deputy leader has warned

Elon Musk has built a disinformation machine one purpose of which is *explicitly and obviously* to attack the UK and undermine its interests and coherence. The Westminster government? Well they just go 'whatever' and they even help prop up the platform! Pathetic.

Big moment for Europe: in December, fully electric cars outsold petrol-only cars in the EU for the first time.

This shows that clear, consistent policy works. Which is exactly why backtracking now would be a mistake. Rolling back targets or creating uncertainty would slow investment and innovation.

I am disappointed by today’s NEC decision and concerned about its potential impact on the important elections ahead of us.

To whoever becomes Labour’s candidate and to our members in Manchester and Tameside: you will have my full support in this fight and I will be there whenever you need me.

also, side note, but why are these deranged outbursts by a deranged racist & misogynist ‘embarrassing’ for Starmer, who’s trying to prop up a security alliance in the face of madness, and not ‘embarrassing’ for the journalists working on these stories who’ve done so much to sanewash Trump?

Trump’s tariffs and threats mean it’s make your mind up time. If we can’t rely on America and we don’t want to cozy up to China, the answer is to get serious about our strategic future with Europe. NATO needs this too - the reset must be real, and it must happen quickly for all our sakes.

Watched Super Pumped, The Battle for Uber on @itvx.com. Highly recommend the show but the frequency of adverts is ridiculous. Subscribed to 'premium' to remove the adverts, but still forced to watch adverts for other shows 4 times per episode. Seriously, who at itv thinks this is a good experience?

Reform UK Review 2025

In May 2025 Nigel Farage said: “I do not want the NHS funded through general taxation.”

In January, he was asked about an insurance-based model for the NHS earlier this year, comparable to the one used in the States.

He said he is “open to anything”.
