What follows is the funniest use of the slo-mo alternate angle tech I've seen them use during these Olympics of one of the crew members falling

Okay but she posted on Reddit after the broadcast that she realized partway through Double Jeopardy that this was her only way to win, and started deliberately picking clues/buzzing in to maximize the odds that they would be tied going into Final. Absolute galaxy brain.

Investigating a bug is most of the work. The fix is usually like one line of code once we understand the problem. But if we also have to spend hours even figuring out how to reproduce the bug, then there's a lot of bugs that just don't get fixed because there's not enough time.

Today I learnt about the actual, canonical sequel to 101 Dalmatians.

Every single paragraph of the synopsis makes me feel like I've lost my mind a little bit more.

I am so sad that this never got a film adaptation.

Good rule of thumb. Along the same lines: whenever you have text that appears and then disappears after a moment, time how long it takes you to read it. It should stay visible for at least three times that long.
General rule for all game-critical UI and text: if you personally think it's obnoxiously large, make it slighty larger than that.
Kids, if you're making a game and want to run it on a steamdeck or switch

your text size needs to be bigger

no, bigger

c'mon coward, bigger!

what is this, A GAME FOR ANTS? BIGGER

I don’t believe that there is no possible use case for AI but I also think there are lots of use cases where AI is a demonstrably terrible solution and unfortunately those are the ones that the tech sector keeps insisting we adopt.
I don’t want to laugh at a small business but also VERY funny

I’m sure someone else has put this better but: producer is a very…female-coded profession. They do the work that needs to happen but rarely attracts any glory. They have “soft skills” that auteurs and geniuses don’t. They’re often paid less.
Just something to consider about why they’re devalued.

Today, judging the games at the Groningen Global Game Jam location, one of the developers said "Oh, and you can press `F` to call your mom" and so I pressed it but I was a tiny green alien so then mom alien appeared on in-game voice chat and obliterated the enemies around me with an orbital cannon
