Welcome to my world, population: 100 squirrels and a nut. All opinions and advocacies are 100% my own. I’m not perfect, I’m not for everyone, and I’m still learning. If that doesn’t suit you, move along. 'Nuff said.
'Morning, Blue Crew. Up and over the hump today. The radio is already playing holiday music. Coffee will double as personal antifreeze this morning.

Nothing like having the transmission in a work vehicle decide to go "boom" while driving in the middle of a construction zone with no place to pull off.

At least we determined that "limp" mode does work. And there was a spare vehicle I could continue with.

No freezing stuff on the ground here this morning, but in the northwest part of town, enough snow came down that there were a couple of snowmen in random places.

There's apparently a Cloudflare issue which has knocked a number of sites offline, including deck.blue, the Xitter, and ChatGPT.

'Morning, Blue Crew. We've gone from rain, to freezing rain, to snow overnight. I'll need to get my morning routine finished early so I can clean off the car and make it driveable. And I do NOT trust the roads this morning.
Extra coffee may be needed. In fact, probably will be.

'Morning, Blue Crew. No rain this morning, so I'll call it a good day so far. Coffee makes a lousy umbrella, but it's still mandatory.

'Morning, Blue Crew. It's cool, wet, and rainy again this morning, which makes it a good domestic-chores day. Hey, I don't make the rules.
First, though: coffee.

USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins plans to make all SNAP recipients reapply and prove "that they literally are vulnerable and they can’t survive without it.”

The 'genuinely disabled'

The 'literally vulnerable'

They keep moving the goalposts.

They were never going to fund SNAP. It's eugenics:
Trump administration will require SNAP participants to reapply for benefits
Food aid recipients are already required to recertify their information regularly. But the move is part of USDA chief Brooke Rollins’ effort to overhaul the program.

Visit to the vampires is complete (and they actually had the orders on file this time). Now I can continue with my day.

Hey Megyn Kelly,

14-year-old Eloise would like a word:

“If my voice makes you uncomfortable, good…
because the minute adults start defending predators by defending the age of a child, you’re not protecting the truth, you’re protecting the predator.”

Sound up! 🔥🔊

'Morning, Blue Crew. Once I get my initial coffee inside me, I'm off to visit the local vampires. Just about everything else will need to wait until that's done.

As a timeline cleanse of sorts…

I’m sad to hear that NHRA legend John Force has announced his retirement, but I think that last crash made him realize he’s mortal after all. And he wants to meet the rest of his grandkids.

As a result of this judge's ruling, two cities in Washington have deactivated their Flock camera systems. The next question is "why would they do that?".

'Morning, Blue Crew. Looks like a cool and rainy Freja's Day. This will require additional coffee. Not to mention a warmer jacket.

'Morning, Blue Crew. Looks like rain today. There's a cat laying behind me snoring, and I think she's got the right idea. I'll just have to make do with coffee.

Louder for the kids in the back that were sleeping during the seminar.
The whole war on “woke” and “cancel culture” was contrived to protect the worst people in our society and make it possible for them to keep doing despicable things to other people.

'Morning, Blue Crew. Back to the regular grind today. Odin's Day appears to be a little less of a grind than usual so far, so let's keep that going, hmm? And speaking of grinds, it's time for coffee.

I've been invited, by two separate groups, to participate in today's Veterans Day parade downtown. I just need to decide if I have the ambition, the energy, and the stamina to deal with anything that people-y.

'Morning, Blue Crew. It's a day off but my body still kicked me out of bed before the sun rose. I suppose now's a good time to enjoy a cup of coffee.

'Morning, Blue Crew. Just hand me the coffee and back away slowly.
