This was a scurrilous ad hominem attack on the integrity of City Council colleagues by @timtierney.ca. During a Term of Council when we've all sought to avoid the petty divisiveness of the last term, Councillor Tierney sadly brought us all lower yesterday. 1/ ottawacitizen.com/opinion/budg...

Across Ottawa, from fairs and markets to townhalls and meetings, I’ve been hearing the same thing: people are frustrated and want a new direction for our city. We need a city that works, with reliable transit, strong services, repaired roads and community centres.

Thank you to Cycle Toronto! Let's keep fighting to protect bike lanes in Ontario against the Doug Ford government #ottbike
BREAKING NEWS: We’ve been granted an injunction that will ensure that the bike lanes on Bloor, Yonge, and University will remain in place until the judge presiding over our Charter challenge makes his decision.

Urging you #ottbike to email your councillor to oppose two motions coming at the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee meeting on the 27th of March.

One would siphon funds away from the Road safety action plan and the second and the second would delay the west side MUP on the airport parkway

In reflecting on the current O-Train offering, here are a few ideas that would enhance the service.

1.) O-Train Lines 2 & 4 should have the same hours as Line 1. (Going to airport in the early morning is difficult, but near impossible by train when Line 1 opens at 5am and Lines 2 & 4 open at 6am.

Just your daily reminder that a significant portion of Ottawa city council, including our mayor, are total cowards.

Don't talk tough about "team Canada" if you can't even vote to get off of X.

Christ, even Ford stopped the Starlink deal, how hard can it be really?
Ottawa councillor Laura Dudas's motion to make a plan to get the City of Ottawa off of Elon Musk's "X" fails by a vote of 5 yeas to 7 nays.

There are so many better uses of public funds than accelerating access to alcohol in corner stores.
Could have just let the contract expire instead and paid 0$ #votefordout

Ford is triggering unnecessary elections. Get ready to #votefordout préparez-vous à voter contre Ford!

You can donate to other parties and get 75% back as tax credit. Considering volunteering as well. Try not to split the vote if possible

Most importantly, encourage everyone you know to vote!

Is there anything an Ottawa cop can do to get fired or is that just impossible?

What if a forklift operator was caught drunk on their shift, would they still have their job?

I encourage everyone to continue to write to your MPP and city councillors. Doug Ford and the PCs are generally awful, but today in particular they are putting lives at risk.

It's possible we will have early provincial elections in the spring 2025, let's get ready to #votefordout #ottbike #biketo
"Bans people from taking the Government to court for its decision to remove bike lanes, including any individuals who are injured or killed due to a collision between a bike and a vehicle."

Very normal stuff from a government confident that its decision won't harm anyone.

He’s starting with lanes in Toronto, but all communities are at risk, including Ottawa. We need to stand up for everyone who uses these lanes, benefits from the cyclists shopping along the routes, and all those who will be too afraid to ride because of the increased danger. See you there! #ottbike
