Keir Starmer’s spokesperson asked for the PM's response to Nigel Farage’s plan to deport hundreds of thousands of people living and working completely legally in the UK, replies that he thinks it is “unworkable” and “unfunded”.

So his objection is that they’ve got their sums wrong

Shortlist of potential European games to go to this autumn. Will choose based on both the place being interesting and also the club itself.. Anyone to add or remove from the shortlist??

“Then they started to talk about cuffing me, and that if the kids were here legally, what do they have to lose by answering. I told them that they still have their fifth and fourth amendment rights, and that they don’t have to speak to you or help with any investigation.”
A local NYC baseball coach says he fended off ICE agents during a recent practice.

Youman Wilder said caught feds questioning youth about where they're from & country of origin, so, he told feds to back off & kids to not answer!

Shoutout all of our local heroes!

Horrible but necessary read. I dont think we realised the Internet, social media would end up meaning the very worst of us achieve popularity fame and influence. But in a world of content those that shock and shout are amplified. Whether it be Trump or toxic influencers

This is a vital message: one of the larger reasons BlueSky is refreshingly free of alt-right shitlords is because in the early days we made a gentleperson’s agreement to starve these fuckos out and it worked. No likes, no quotes, no engagement. They got bored and left. Please keep the Old Ways.
Vice-President JD Vance confirms he has joined BlueSky.

The European 1st and 2nd qualifying round draws are out tomorrow and Wednesday, which I’m far more excited for than Club World Cup or the tournaments’ proper.
Going to Finland and the Baltics in time for them. Said it before but the European qualifying rounds are one of the best times of the season
The Club World Cup is the ghost of xmas future not only because it's in Trump's America, but because it's another product of people whose only idea is "more football." Next year, the actual World Cup will have 48 teams - 33% more teams and 62.5% more games than last time. Jackboots and dead rubbers.

Most depressing final of all time

. That Speed guy
. Rio Ferdinand
. Respectful muted celebration in a Champions League Final
. Prick in the stands blowing a whistle
. Completely one-sided
. Culmination of years-long sportswashing project for country where same-sex sexual activity is illegal

Absolutely right. Most of the hate directed at Sadiq online seems to come from people who either live nowhere near London and just hate it and him anyway - or from angry Reform types in surrounding counties who think they have a god given right to drive their high polluting vehicles into my city
For all of Sadiq's faults he is the best example of a popular secular progressive politician

He proves that most Londoners aren't xenophobic, support anti-car policies, support tackling climate change and support multicultural society. It must be maddening for the political right!

The Conference League was a lovely idea but always risked an inherent flaw, the huge financial gap between the Prem and the rest. One club outspending the rest x times over. like the Europa League, that flaw has been exaggerated by clubs no longer dropping in from the comp above & the format change.
