1. The Trump administration has just quietly updated the State Department website to indicate that it may invalidate transgender people's passports.

This comes a week after a SCOTUS ruling blocking lower rulings allowing trans people to update them.

Trump refusing to use the old system of vetting by DOJ of pardon requests means that the most deserving who used to make the cut out of 1000s - decades old smaller cases of people who turned their lives around - get ignored. Now the pardons go to rich connected Republican felons.

So apparently senators must now be notified in advance if their phone records are requested during the investigation of a crime. No one else, just senators. So they're free to crime and can't be investigated without notice. This is so wrong, but it's great for senators who want to commit crimes.
