Did you know your MacBook has a sensor that knows the exact angle of the screen hinge?

It’s not exposed as a public API, but I figured out a way to read it and make it sound like an old wooden door.

It's been a while but I finally cracked open a new bottle. Tonight's feature is the high proof Blanco from Lalo. A bold 108 proof leads to strong aromas and flavors. A soft beginning and a hot finish make this a very interesting tequila.

So the Republican Party has historically blocked:

-Paid sick leave
-Paid family & medical leave
-Universal childcare
-Universal pre-K
-Expanded Child Tax Credit
-Programs to support reproductive health

And they're wondering why more people aren't having children?

House Republicans passed the budget resolution, green lighting massive tax cuts for the ultra wealthy.

They're going to cut funding for health care, nutrition, and other critical human needs in order to line the pockets of CEOs and billionaires.

Today's pour is the lovely ensemble from Banhez. Composed of Espadin and Baril from all the families in the co-op it's quite the special drink. Very easy to drink and great for mixing as it doesn't have any pungent flavors or aromas. #mezcal #agave #mexico #oaxaca

Discovered a new (to me) tequila out of nom1499 yesterday. I sampled it and enjoyed it and was told it was made with agaves that are 10 years old. Decided to pick up a bottle and the lore behind this continues. Rested for 10yr in stainless steel, single estate agaves from Michoacán, limited release.

Two years ago my job was to monitor Fox News every night for its dumbest and most dangerous lies.

Yesterday, a Fox reporter covered my "far-left" congressional campaign. 😇

So, in summary:

1. Signal is the most secure messaging option available to most people. Use it every day.

2. From a policy perspective, the US gov should not be discussing top secret info in a group chat... on any messaging app

3. Criticize the US government, don't spread misinfo about Signal

If anything, activists and people with privacy concerns should see this story as proof that even the Trump admin thinks Signal is more secure than any other messaging service. That's why they're using it. It's still not a SCIF. It's still not "protocol." But the story here is not really about Signal

We’re prioritizing Bluesky this election – not only because it’s more ethical, but because it just makes sense. There are four main reasons why: 1/8

In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

You know who actually makes the loudest noise?

Someone who depends on Social Security to buy groceries.

Someone who depends on Social Security to pay rent.

Someone who depends on Social Security to survive.

But billionaires like Howard Lutnick don't care about those people.

Under the House GOP’s budget plan, the lowest-income taxpayers would see a LOSS of $1,125.

The richest 0.1 percent of taxpayers, on the other hand, would see a more than $180,000 GAIN.

This is trickle down economics on steroids.
