It's been a while but I finally cracked open a new bottle. Tonight's feature is the high proof Blanco from Lalo. A bold 108 proof leads to strong aromas and flavors. A soft beginning and a hot finish make this a very interesting tequila.

Today's pour is the lovely ensemble from Banhez. Composed of Espadin and Baril from all the families in the co-op it's quite the special drink. Very easy to drink and great for mixing as it doesn't have any pungent flavors or aromas. #mezcal #agave #mexico #oaxaca

Discovered a new (to me) tequila out of nom1499 yesterday. I sampled it and enjoyed it and was told it was made with agaves that are 10 years old. Decided to pick up a bottle and the lore behind this continues. Rested for 10yr in stainless steel, single estate agaves from Michoacán, limited release.
