Government says it will appeal, so ban remains in place until further hearing on 28 February. Meanwhile, police say they will stop arresting people holding up placards. The 2,000 arrests for peaceful protest to date await the appeal outcome.

Capita bosses have apologised for pension non-payments. They inherited a backlog of 86,000 cases but this has now expanded to 120,000. CE Richard Holroyd says they've now almost doubled staff working on the scheme. Clearly not enough!

By moving to the “center,” Democrats have failed to fight the forces that led us to Trump: widening inequality and the unchecked power of billionaires.

There's no "center" anymore between a takeover of the government by oligarchs and true freedom.
