Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

I supply and fit kitchens for a living. If i find you rude, snobby, condescending or obnoxious I add a £500 epic twat tax to your quote. I then pay it forward by knocking that £500 off the quote of somebody polite, friendly and humble. Good little system. Down with the twats.

So much of our infrastructure, planning, environmental, and road safety measures seem to be based around politicians' fear of slightly inconveniencing easily-angered motorists. Pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport users are barely considered in their calculations.

Seeing a lot of folks who either don’t know what the usual numbers look like or who didn’t go look at the demographics and methodology and are treating this as a _meh_ data point when anything close to this would be earth-shaking. Believe it when you see it, etc, but these are GOP extinction numbers
