My #dndoc Inali and their girlfriend Fanfyra had a very tense, but touching moment last session. I couldn't get the scene out of my head, so of course I had to draw them 🥹
Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna keep crying about my fictional emo baby
My Dungeons and Dragons OC Inali- a muscular purple nonbinary reborn (started as a tiefling at the start of the campaign) with tattoos on their visible arm, large horns and medium brown hair looking worried- embracing their girlfriend Fanfyra- a half elf with curly ginger hair, glowing orange flame-like tattoos on her arms, who looks sad and scared. Their hands are clasped in front of them, with Inalis other hand on Fanfyras upper back. Inali wears their tunic open, clawed gauntlets, and gems adorning their horns. Fanfyra is wearing a red tank top, white bandages around her torso, and a dark gray skirt. Resting on Fanfyras chest and positioned between them is a glowing purple anatomical crystal heart, Inali has an open chest wound, bleeding necrotic blood. There's fire in the background and the lyrics "And here it is, our final night alive..." Above them and "As the earth burns to the ground" underneath them.

Very, very few comic book creators can survive on just the money they make from comics. It is an inherently unstable job and it is only getting worse as time goes on. Don't ever be embarrassed or ashamed of needing another job so that you can keep making comics.
Not being able to make a living just from your art doesn't make you a failure as an artist, it just means you're a totally normal working artist.

I wanted to draw my favorite emo enby from the DnD campaign I'm in again. They're all I've been drawing these days, it seems.
Nonbinary purple tiefling looking back pensively over their left shoulder directly at the viewer with their saturated purple eyes, they are shirtless. They have flowing black hair tucked behind their left ear. Purple horns support 3 jewels on chains, an amethyst inspired jewel in the middle between the two horns and 2 moonstone inspired jewels in front of each horn, connecting it all in the middle is a skull on their forehead. They have two lightly colored scars going over their left eye and eyebrow. They have a multitude of piercings on their ear and adorning their face. The background is purple and black stripes with lace at the top and bottom. In the upper left-hand corner of the piece is a spider web.
