New in PN: Corporation for Public Broadcasting's patriotic goodbye

"We’re in thrall to a con man who denigrates the very idea of truth and uses media only to distract and divide. And so the CPB board members broke their plowshares lest they be beaten into swords by a deranged demagogue."

Imbeciles.
Voters in southeastern Colorado overwhelmingly supported President Trump, who just vetoed a clean drinking water project there. Locals are stunned to be caught up in Trump's crusade against Colorado. @marcsallinger.bsky.social reports from Bent County:

The American people electing Trump after he staged a coup attempt 5 years ago was a nail in the coffin of our democracy. You can rationalize it all you want - But inflation! But wokeness! - but ultimately it was a societal suicide attempt and probably the dumbest collective voting decision ever made

They lost their parents. Their parents were assassinated. And they actually are forced to go to the trouble of publicly asking the President of the United States to stop spreading lies & conspiracies about who killed their parents. He’s despicable. Trump is evil.
Colin and Sophie Hortman, the children of Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, are asking Trump to remove the false posts about their parents' killing:
