What the public does not understand about these retaliatory cases is that what is on trial is the ability for men to abuse their power against women without consequence. When women lose defamation lawsuits for speaking up, men win the right to abuse with impunity

The 5-year-old arrested by ICE In Minnesota is detained at Dilley. We reported on conditions there in the below article.

Parents said the food was contaminated with mold and worms & that children were so under so much stress that they were hitting their own faces & wetting themselves.
Analysis by The Marshall Project of ICE data obtained by the Deportation Data Project found that the Trump administration’s revival of family detention has swept thousands of children into ICE custody. At least 3,800 children under 18, including 20 infants, have been booked since Trump took office.
ICE Threw Thousands of Kids in Detention, Many For Longer Than Court-Prescribed Limit
Former immigration staffers argue ICE is choosing to detain families for prolonged periods to speed deportations and compel them to leave.

The number of times I've heard "I have so much compassion for these young ladies" (Sen. Marshall) or "this is about protecting women" (Sen. Banks) from Republican senators during this hearing is unreal but, of course, expected
Brace for nonsense: there’s a Senate hearing today that will baselessly question the safety of the abortion pill mifepristone. Expect Josh Hawley to be on his worst behavior

Wrote a piece for @slate.com explaining that states have a long history of prosecuting federal officers when they allegedly use excessive force. Federal officers are only immune from such prosecutions when they act reasonably in carrying out lawful duties.
Minnesota Could Prosecute the ICE Shooter. Trump Can’t Pardon Him.
Shortly after an ICE officer shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis, city leaders began looking into whether the officer had violated state criminal law.

Anti-abortion advocates are turning attention to altering training requirements for ob/gyn residency programs to make training in abortion care "opt-in" vs "opt-out."

As a result, residency programs may no longer provide training in abortion care or may stop providing abortion care completely

Yet another case of abortion snitching by a teen's FRIEND.
NEW: Pennsylvania police charged a teen and her mother for "concealing the death of a child" following a self-managed abortion. An abortion clinic turned the teen away before the state's legal limit, and her friend later went to the cops

A chilling reminder of how people can be criminalized
