🥳 LET'S GO!! The Wyoming Supreme Court struck down the state's abortion bans, ruling that the right to an abortion is, in fact, protected under the state's constitution. This news affirms the importance of reproductive freedom and reminds us why we are never going to give up this fight.

🚨BREAKING: On the 5th anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, the Trump White House launched a new website that rewrites the events of that day—portraying the violent effort to overturn the 2020 election as a miscarriage of justice and casting those who stormed the Capitol as victims.

This is a tragedy. I recently started to read non-academic fiction again for complete fun—shame free. I’ve been surprised by the wonders it has done for my mental health. Instilling the joy of reading at a young age is so important for many reasons and I hope that doesn’t disappear.

As we start Spring 2026, I want to give a big welcome to our new Georgia State colleague, @andrewwillinger.bsky.social, who is a huge coup for our constitutional law cohort.

Andrew’s work on the Second Amendment is deeply important.

I know I speak for my colleagues in saying how thrilled we are!

Bad day for children’s health and public health more generally. I hope health care providers continue to recommend all the vaccines and discuss their benefits with parents so they can make fully informed, evidence-based decisions

SEEKING PARTICIPANTS

For their MA thesis, my advisee is conducting an oral history on family members of people living with HIV/AIDS in the 1980s-90s. They are seeking folks to interview. See the flyer for details.

Wondering if folks can share this with their networks. Thank you!

In a study following 23 million people age 18-59 (pretty young) for 4 years…despite the fact that the ones who got the COVID vaccine were overall older and sicker at baseline, they not only had 74% lower risk of dying from COVID than the unvaccinated but 25% lower risk of dying from any other cause!

I have an all-day event on my outlook calendar for January 13 titled "jolly."

I have zero idea what that could be a misspelling of, so if I am supposed to be somewhere or if I owe someone something on that day, apologies in advance. I'll just be spending the day being jolly.
