If you see a lot of political memes that have an out-of-place sepia filter, it's because the Studio Ghibli filter OpenAI added to ChatGPT was too popular and polluted their database, and will force a "nostalgic Ghibli sepia filter" onto images without asking. The recent White House Halo pic is one.

It especially frustrates me b/c I'm gray-asexual and I am also an adult artist and writer. This stuff DOES affect us & acting otherwise erases much of the ace spectrum & reinforces the stereotype we're all puritanical prudes.

It saddens me greatly that I have seen people say "im asexual so it doesn't matter to me" about the rise in censorship- not exclusive to bsky btw; it does matter to you. Your sexual orientation does not give you moral high ground. I dont know how to explain you should care about other people.

In addition to the other replies, bsky is designating themselves fhe arbiter of the true meaning of an artwork. If they think someone looks a little too upset (emotion during sex is nuanced and complex irl!) they can decide it's against TOS and ban you.

the issue (not the only issue) with these kind of guidelines is that it also prevents fictional depictions of abusive relationships. am I gonna get banned for this because she's a teenager?? I was very careful to make it not too explicit. to make it really fucking uncomfortable. but I don't know
